Amed & Tulamben Hotels
Located in Bali 's east coast the areas of Tulamben and Amed are both popular diving and snorkeling destinations. The main attraction in Tulamben is the underwater wreck of a US cargo ship, the Liberty , torpedoed by a Japanese submarine in 1942. The wreck now lays 40 or 50 meters offshore and can be viewed along with the abundance of rich marine life that inhabits these waters. The landscape in this part of Bali can be quite dry and barren, but the stretch of coastline where Bali 's mightiest mountain Gunung Agung descends to meet the sea is quite picturesque.
